    dark organic raw vegan cocolate
Today in our spotlight is the Ach vegan dark chocolate with almonds and cinnamon. And let me tell you – this is my absolute favorite.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, chocolate was never my preferred snack. I was never one of those people, who crave sweets and can’t go a day without eating a chocolate bar.

Well, that not until I discovered this magical bar of deliciousness.

Apart from being so tasty, you might lose your mind, the Ach dark vegan chocolate with almonds and cinnamon is actually extremely healthy!

How so? Well, let me tell you all about it.

Cinnamon – Good for More Than Just Apple Pie

While cinnamon is one of the most common (and delicious) spices out there, most people don’t know just how healthy it is.

    1. Filled With Antioxidants

Antioxidants, while somewhat a mysterious word to most, are very important to our overall health. To put it simply, antioxidants help our bodies to recover.

Cinnamon has a number of potent antioxidants such as polyphenol. Studies found that when it comes to antioxidant activity, cinnamon is more effective than say garlic, oregano or basil.

    2. Battles Chronic Inflammation

What is more, cinnamon has plenty of anti-inflammatory properties. While many people don’t know this, various foods and outside influences can cause our bodies to go into a chronic inflammatory state.  See, inflammation is a natural process, that actually can help our bodies heal. But if it lasts for long periods of time, it becomes a serious issue.

Our diets contribute highly to these processes. You’ll be happy to know, that cinnamon has been proven to help stabilize inflammation in our bodies, due to being so rich in various antioxidants.

    3. Keep Your Cholesterol in Check

In addition to that, a study showed that cinnamon can reduce the amount of “bad” cholesterol in our bodies while keeping the “good” cholesterol stable. If you care about your cardiac health, cinnamon might just be your best friend!

    4. Fights diabetes

Cinnamon reduces blood-sugar levels, as proved by a recent study. First of all, it decreases glucose in your bloodstream. Secondly, it mimics insulin. All this together can decrease blood sugar levels by 20%!

At the end of the day, cinnamon is not only one of the most delicious spices on the planet, but it’s also extremely beneficial for our health. All the information mentioned above is just the tip of the iceberg!

Why almonds are your best friends

Almonds are one of the most popular nuts to snack on. Not only are they tasty, they actually are very healthy. And to top that, you can consume them in various forms – from eating it raw to making almond milk, butter, oil, flour and so on.

    1. Nutritious and delicious

Did you know that almonds are extremely nutritious? One serving of almonds contains:

    • 6g of protein
    • Vitamin E
    • Magnesium
    • Healthy Fats
    • Vitamin B12
    • Copper
    • 3.5g of fiber

Not too shabby for some nuts, right?

    2. Great for the Heart

Since almonds are rich in magnesium, it can help to lower blood pressure. This, in return, can help avoid various health issues such as strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

What is more, almonds can contribute to lowering “bad” cholesterol levels. Eating as little as two handfuls of almonds per day can highly contribute to lowering cholesterol in your blood!

    3. Superfood for Weight Loss

If you are concerned about your caloric intake, you’ll be happy to know that almonds are known for reducing your daily calories. How so? Since almonds are full in fiber and protein, but low in carbohydrates, you feel fuller for longer. So adding almonds to your daily menu will decrease your hunger and cravings for unhealthy foods.

This, in return, might help you lose weight without restricting yourself too much.

And How Do They Pair With Chocolate

Now you see how cinnamon and almonds alone are extremely healthy for your body.

Combined with natural cocoa, these two superfoods create one of my personal favorite desserts – the Ach vegan dark chocolate with almonds and cinnamon. The bittersweet natural cocoa cuddles crunched almonds, and everything is nicely wrapped together by a spicy embrace of cinnamon.

Why eat sugar and chemicals filled chocolate bars, when you can satisfy your sweet tooth and quite literally improve your health while doing so?

For me, it’s a no brainer.
